MONDAY TO SATURDAY 25/09/2023 - 30/09/2023.
REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
On the first day, Monday, six of us teacher training arrived at the school at exactly 9 30 and after that we signed the register and then the second period I had class 9 A which is my concern class.Today I taught one topic in that period " movements in Respiraton, inspiration and expiration " and then third period I got a substitution class on my concern class 9A also I taught one topic "role of alveoli in the process of Respiraton "After that I didn't get any periods so I did my words and went to serve lunch. There were no afternoon classes as the next day was the school festival. Children were given time to practice the program. We went to coordinate their programs. Also involved in arranging the program systematically.Then we returned after signing the register at 3:45pm
On the second day, Tuesday, six of us teacher training reached the school at exactly 9.30 am and signed the register. Since today is the school festival here, we didn't have any periods to take classes, so we started the programs in two venues in the morning and we got involved in preparing the children participating in the programs and then we had to sit alternately as judges in each program.I was a judge in Oppana and Thiruvathira. Then in the afternoon we went to have lunch and took pictures after watching the events. Then we returned after signing the register at 3:45pm
On Wednesday, the third day, six of us teacher training reached the school at exactly 9 30 and signed the register. Today I had class in first period 9B. It was my first time to attend that class. There I taught a topic " movements in Respiraton, inspiration and expiration " Later periods were free for me. At noon it was time to serve lunch.4th and 5th period I got a substitution period on my concern class 9 A.Today I taught two topic's there "role of structure of RBCs in exchange of oxygen " and "role haemoglobin in transport of oxygen "in each periods.Later periods were free for me so I did my works. After signing the register at exactly 3:45 we returned
The fourth day, Thursday, as it was a public holiday.The school informed that there would be no classes on that day.So we didn't go to school
The fifth day, Friday, six of us teacher training reached the school at exactly 9 30 and signed the register. There were no classes for the first two periods today. The DEO had come to inaugurate the newly constructed gymnasium in the school. Then the inaugural program was held. Due to heavy rain, the opening ceremony was rushed. After that the program was over and the classes resumed .3rd and 4th periods I got substitution period on my concern class 9 A.Today I taught two topics there "cellular respiraton _ glycolysis phase" and "cellular respiration _Krebs cycle phase" in each periods.At noon it was time to serve lunch.The children were released in the afternoon as their clothes were soaked by the heavy rain. After that we were free as we didn't get any classes. We did our works.After signing the register at exactly 3:45 we returned
On sixth day Saturday,six of us teacher training reached the school at exactly 9:30 and signed the register. There was no school on Thursday, the fourth day, so Saturday classes were held according to that day's timetable. 1st and 2nd period I got a substitution period on class 9B Today I taught two topics there " role of alveoli in the process of respiraton" and "role RBCs in the transport of oxygen " in each periods and in 3rd and 4th period I had class on 9C and taught two topics there " role of alveoli in the process of respiraton" and "role RBCs in the transport of oxygen " in each hours.At noon it was time to serve lunch. Then after lunch break, I had class on 5th period in my concern class 9A I taught only one topic there "process of expulsion of Co2" remaining period was free for me.After signing the register at exactly 3:45 we returned
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
In this week the students 9A class were taught using of teaching manual from their fourth chapter from part 1of their biology textbook. The topics are "Respiratory movements, inspiration and expiration", "role of alveoli in the process of Respiraton " role of the structure of RBCs in the exchange of oxygen ", " role of hemoglobin in the transport of oxygen" "cellular respiration _ glycolysis phase, " cellular respiration _Krebs cycle phase" and " process of expulsion of Co2" using Teaching aids such as charts,vedios, cutout,activity cards, and the Students of 9 C were taught two topics "role of alveoli in the process of respiration ","role of structure of RBCs in the transport of oxygen and the Students of 9 B were taught two topics "role of alveoli in the process of respiration ","role of structure of RBCs in the transport of oxygen
The reflective journals were also done this week.
OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
The students of 9A class were given teaching manual oriented activity based classroom experience. Seven teaching manual of 9A class were completed effectively. 15 charts were prepared for 9A class . Students were given followup activities like assignment
REFLECTION ON EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Tuesday, the second day of this week, was the school art festival. The programs were staged in two venues. All the dance items were on one stage and all the songs were on another stage. All six of us were at the forefront of coordinating and organizing the events.We were part of preparing the children for the event and arranging them on stage. We were also judges of the program. All the children participated in the program very well
