TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST PHASE -WEEK 4
TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK :4
MONDAY TO WEDNESDAY 9/10/2023 - 11/10/2023.
On first day, Monday, six of us teachers reached the school at 9.30 sharp and signed the register.Today I had the opportunity to take a class in my concern class 9A on second and third period.Today I taught two topic there at each period. "Types of respiratory disorders " and "vital capacity and its measurement "The next two periods I got substitution in 5th class.Lunch was served to the children in the afternoon.Then the fifth, sixth and seventh periods were substitution in class 5, class 6 and class 7.Then we returned after signing the register at 3:45pm.
On second day, Tuesday , six of us teachers reached the school at 9.30 sharp and signed the register.Science exhibition was held in school today for the first three periods. We were there to observe and coordinate.Then lunch was served to the children.I got substitution in 5th period in 9C and I taught a topic there "cellular respiraton _crebs cycle phase" and the 6th and 7th period I got substitution class on my concern class 9A I taught two topic in each periods "mode of respiraton in different organisms " and "mechanism of exchange of gases in plants"Then we returned after signing the register at 3:45pm.
On third day,Wednesday , six of us teachers reached the school at 9.30 sharp and signed the register.An awareness program was conducted in the school today from morning to afternoon to suggest solutions and problems of adolescence. We were there to see and understand it. The class was conducted very well and the children all cooperated well.Then lunch was served to the children.6th period I got substitution class on my concern class 8A I taught one topic their "common bases for classification " Then we returned after signing the register at 3:45pm.
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
In this week the students 9A class were taught using of teaching manual from their fourth chapter from part 1of their biology textbook. The topics are "types of respiratory disorders ", "vital capacity and its measurements ","mode of respiration in other organisms" and "mechanism of exchange of gases in plants" and in 9 C were taught one topic"cellular respiration _crebs cycle phase and in 8A were taught one topic"common bases for classification"
The reflective journals were also done this week.
OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
The students of 9A and 8A classes were given teaching manual oriented activity based classroom experience. Four teaching manual of 9A class and one teaching manual of 8 A were completed effectively. 8 charts were prepared for 9A class and 2 charts were prepared for 8A. Students were given followup activities like assignment
REFLECTION ON EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Science exhibition was conducted on Tuesday. All the children participated very well. They used to prepare small experiments and descriptions and tell them to the audience. On Wednesday there was an awareness class for teenagers. It was a good way of teaching children about their mental and physical growth
