REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
On Monday, the first day, six of us teacher training arrived at the school at exactly 9:30.First period today was free for me. Second period test paper was conducted in my concern class (9A). Later periods were free for me. Lunch was served to the children in the afternoon. Fifth and sixth periods I had a substitution 6th standard.After exactly 3:45 we signed the register and returned.
The second day, Tuesday, was a holiday for us as there was a cluster meeting for the teachers of the government school.
On the third day, Wednesday, six of us teacher trainees signed the school register at exactly 9:30. Today was mid-month exam in all classes. So I could not take classes today. Lunch was served to the children in the afternoon. 5th grade had 7th period substitution.After exactly 3:45 we signed the register and returned
On Thursday, the fourth day, 6 of us teacher training reached the school at exactly 9 30 and signed the register. Today my option teacher Sridevi teacher and general education teacher Revathi teacher came to observe my class. Second period I had class in my concern class 9A.I taught a topic there " kidney transplantation " Then I had a 5th period break in my concern class, 8A, and I taught a topic there " Taxonomic hierarchy of plants" then the last period I got a substitution period in my concern class 8A I taught a topic there "binomial nomenclature " After exactly 3:45 we signed the register and returned
On Friday,the fourth day, 6 of us teacher training reached the school at exactly 9 30 and signed the register. today first period I had period in my concern class and taught a topic there " excretory organs and process in different organisms" then next period I got a substitution period in my concern class 9AI taught a topic there " excretion methods in plants " Last period i had a period in my concern class 8A I taught "two kingdom classification "After exactly 3:45 we signed the register and returned.
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
In this week the students 9A class were taught using of teaching manual from their 5th chapter from part 2 of their biology textbook. The topics are "kidney transplantation ","Excretory organs and process in different organisms" and "Excretion methods in plants " 8A class were taught using teaching manual of 2nd chapter from part 2 of their basic science text book. The topics are"taxonomic hierarchy of plants "Binomial nomenclature ","Two kingdom classification ".
The reflective journals were also done this week
OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
The students of 9A and 8A classes were given teaching manual oriented activity based classroom experience. 3 teaching manual of 9A class and 3 teaching manual of 8 A were completed effectively. 8 charts were prepared for 9A class and 4 charts were prepared for 8A. Students were given followup activities like assignment.
SUGGESTIONS MADE BY THE TEACHER EDUCATORS

Our option teacher and General Education teacher observed my class on the topic "Kidney transplantation " from the unit 'Excretion to maintain homeostasis ' and made remarkable suggestions including the following:
* Lesson template:
All components were included, Prerequisites well added.
* Set Induction:
Good, Intellectual curiosity aroused well, prerequisites well checked.
* Development of lesson:
Good presentation, Systematic, Meaningful, Elicited responses, Used thought provoking questions, Reinforcement given well, Provided scaffolding and individual attention, Used responses to drive the lesson forward. Sound/Voice modulation is good.
Negatives : over speed, less confidence
* Learning Aids:
Picture chart good and legible
Charts could be neatly written more. Splitting of word is seen in some charts, not legible
* Learning Experiences:
Age appropriate, Life related examples used.
* Learner involvement :
Negatives : less involvement, could be made more active
* Classroom Management:
Names of students were known well, control misconduct
* Group activity
Adequate time more could be given
*Closure of lesson
Summarized all points with learning aids
*Assessment and evaluation
formative assessment done as per prefixed objectives
Overall Impression: satisfactory.
